Kim Colella is a Spirit Doula and Author of Spirit Embraced: A Guiding Memoir for a life Authentic and Free, won a 2020 Nautilus Award and a 2021 American Bookfest Award. Her purpose is to assist others to move with courage and grace through life’s many transitions and has followed her spirit’s urging to places beyond her familiar. She ministered to both the elderly and teens as a Jesuit Volunteer; traveled to Calcutta to meet and experience the work of Mother Theresa; joined a delegation of women to witness the AIDS pandemic in South Africa; designed and implemented a Peace Program for her son’s inner-city public school, assisted over 25 women in giving birth, and helped others prepare for their deaths. These experiences have fostered in her a deep awe and respect for each phase of life. Today we will be talking about honoring our needs, moving beyond resistance, and trusting ourselves.
