  • Could a money coach help you build wealth
    2024/11/20
If you're struggling to take your money to the next level, it might be your mindset. Or maybe you don't know where to start. If you're feeling stuck, a money coach might be able to help with long-term financial planning and building wealth. Today's guest is Nicole Stanley, founder of Arise Financial Coaching. Her passion is helping people build wealth so they can create goodness in the world. We're going to look at how your money mindset impacts your finances and the way a financial coach can help you take the next step toward building greater wealth. You can download the episode wherever you get your podcasts: Listen on Apple PodcastsListen on YouTube Music (formerly Google Podcasts)Listen on Spotify Don't forget to check out our podcast page for more episodes designed to help you make the most of your money. What is a money coach? So many people are out there claiming to be able to tell you how to make the most of your money. Some of these folks have financial credentials, while others don't. Trying to figure out who to trust can be a big deal. Nicole explains what a money coach does, pointing out that coaching has fewer regulations and is a different beast from financial advising. It's also important to note that a financial coach doesn't do the same thing as a financial advisor and won't manage your money for you. Additionally, while some organizations recognize coaches, anyone can call themselves a coach and take your money. We have a great article on how to choose a financial advisor that works for you. What can a financial coach do for you? While a financial coach isn't usually a credentialed financial professional, they can still help you on your financial journey. Here are some of the ways a money coach might be able to provide you with insights into your finances: Exercises to help you understand your relationship with moneyHelp you understand your financial valuesSet money priorities that make sense for youSee money as a tool to help you achieve your goals rather than being the end goalMake a change to how you view money We also talk a little bit about financial shame and how some gurus, like Dave Ramsey, focus on that aspect to motivate you rather than finding positive motivation. (Check out our podcast episode on Dave Ramsey.) Meet this week's guest, Nicole Stanley Nicole Stanley is the owner and head money coach at Arise Financial Coaching. Her mission? Shame-free and accessible wealth-building education empowering women. Nicole is a Latina founder and personal finance expert.
