    On today’s episode I speak with Ohio native Josh Copeland, Josh attended Fairborn High School where he was a standout in the sports of basketball and football. Josh was rated the 128th best safety prospects in the nation by ESPN during his Senior year. Josh elected to attend the University of Buffalo to continue this football career. After college Josh battled with anger, alcoholism, and many other issues as he transitioned into life after football. Josh later, with the help of friends and family was able to get on track and started supporting others where he found he had his greatest struggles. Josh is now the Chief Executive Office for Josh Copeland Speaks and Learning 2 Cope his motivational speaking and coaching platforms. Locally, Josh helps to support The Dayton Foundation where he assists in supporting the community, Josh also started a nonprofit called The Melanin Golf Club, where he supports providing golf equipment to underprivileged communities. In Josh’s spare time you can find him co-hosting his podcast called the Tips and Yips. Josh has dedicated his life to working with leaders who struggle with inner happiness and peace, Josh provides workshops, professional development, and life coaching

    Welcome to the More Than Sports Podcast – Where everyone has a story. By popular demand we have a special guest on the Podcast today. This player has won a city championship in middle school with the Turner Tigers, multiple state championships with Southwood High and AAU Championships, this player has been honored with all district, all city, and all-state honors on the hardwood, she capped her senior year with being named the MVP of Shreveport – Bossier during the 1997 – 1998 basketball season., After leaving Southwood she spent time in New Mexico State and a short stint at Tyler Jr. College. Soon after leaving college our guest joined the Army where would eventually retire, her next chapters would include time co- managing the Shreveport Sun a semiprofessional basketball team and spending a 4-year coaching stint with Green Oaks High School. Our guest is one of the most influential players in the history of Southwood’s Athletic program and one of the most dominant players in Louisiana history.
