They are joined by cocky pilot Han Solo, his co-pilot Chewbacca, and Princess Leia, who is being held captive by the sinister Darth Vader. After rescuing Leia from the Death Star and delivering the plans to the Rebel Alliance, Luke, guided by Obi-Wan's spirit and using his newly trained Force abilities, fires the shot that destroys the Death Star. The Rebel Alliance celebrates their victory against the Empire.
