    In the summer of 1997, Swedish financiers Peter Mattson and Thomas Jisander lived it up on a luxurious yacht in Saint Tropez, blowing millions on extravagant parties and luxury shopping sprees. Little did the world know, their source of wealth was one of Sweden's biggest financial scams. They had manipulated the acquisition of Trustor, a major investment company, using the company's own funds—totaling around 600 million Swedish crowns (approximately 53 million U.S. dollars) The Trustor affair remains a notorious example of white-collar crime in Sweden, marked by its audacity and the dramatic courtroom twists that followed.
