Under legendary coach Tom Hafey, Richmond won 4 premierships between 1967 and 1974. There would be another flag in 1980, but in a sign of things to come coach Tony Jewell was sacked 18 months later, with his replacement Francis Bourke suffering the same fate despite making the 1982 Grand Final.
