I’m Pastor Warren Swanson, and I’m thrilled to journey with you today through Mark 13:24-37 - a passage that calls us to readiness for the glorious return of Christ. This text is the culmination of Jesus’ Olivet Discourse, where He outlines the events leading to the end of the age.

Last week, we studied Mark 13:1-13, where Jesus warned His disciples about the coming tribulations - wars, persecution, and false prophets. These were not signs of the immediate end but reminders to stay grounded in faith.

Today, we’ll see the dramatic shift to the moment of His return and our charge to remain alert and faithful.

We will seek to answer the questions:

1. What does it mean to watch for Christ?
2. How do we balance daily life with eternal readiness?

These questions shape our sermon today.
