António Ole is an internationally acclaimed Angolan artist, painter, photographer, and filmmaker. His work is a powerful reflection of Angola's recent turbulent history, with themes of colonization, civil war, social conflict, and the human capacity for resistance and survival. He has exhibited his work in prestigious international venues such as the Venice Biennale, Havana Biennial, Johannesburg Biennial, the Los Angeles Museum of African American Art, Nairobi, and Angola.
