  • Why Balance is a Myth

    Is finding balance in life really the end-all-be-all? Tune into this week's episode as I share a new perspective around finding balance, and why it's not what we should be trying to achieve. Life is about finding harmony, rhythm, and adjusting our sails day to day, week to week, season to season. Sometimes we have to lean harder into parts of life and that is okay! My hope is that we can leave the whole balance thing at the curb. Because when we're trying to balance it all, we feel spread too thin, overwhelmed, less than, unfulfilled, and we are not as productive or successful! 

    I hope you take a few things with you and feel a shift happen within as you navigate the rest of your week. What matters most right now? What does success look like to you? Where do you need to lean into right now?  Life begins with us. We have more control than we think. Our whole self matters, all of the time, and it's time start to make small micro-shifts to truly step into a life of less stress and more happiness.

    I am excited to introduce you to my friend, Sammie Gollup. Sammie is known as the "anti-diet mama" and she brings so much expertise and knowledge to us as a Registered Dietician.

    Maybe you've been caught in the cycle of diet culture, or think you need to reset every January.. I mean is this what life is all about?! Maybe your relationship with  food is just straight up complicated or you just want to feel good and set a good example for your children -- well, in today's episode, Sammie takes us through all of those things plus more.

    Sammie is passionate about helping mamas to heal their relationships with food and body by dismantling what we've learned from diet culture and finding space in their busy lives to take care of their own health in a balanced way. Through Intuitive Eating Counseling, she helps mamas to honor their bodies, create healthful habits, and improve overall quality of life, all while simplifying nutrition.   • 5 Things to Stop Doing in 2023

    A new year means a new page in our book of life. There's something special and exhilarating about a fresh new start. There is hope, wonder, and excitement for what's to come! Easing into the year with intention feels best for me these days, with a little bit of shedding and letting go. This month, I hope you spend time to reflect and renew, so you can show up as your favorite version of you in all lanes of life. 

    But today, I am getting right down to business. The title is a little harsh, I know- but this is some powerful stuff. Today I am sharing the 5 things I am going to STOP doing in the new year. I mean, scrolling my phone first in the morning?! Hello comparison and joy disruption. Thinking I have to do it all myself? It's time to truly share the load. Putting off all of my own doctors appointments? Yep - I'm guilty of that.

    This episode invites you to  join me in thinking about what matters most this year. We deserve to feel more fulfilled, more aligned, healthier, and more present in all that we do. And it can start with this episode.
