  • Episode 5: Adult Prep, Life Skills for Teens with Brigid Day and Leslie Harries
    2024/06/05

Brigid Day is a high school Librarian and Leslie Harries is a high school Assistant Principal, both in Brentwood, Tennessee. Together they have created a course for local teenagers, Adult Prep: Life Skills for Teens.

In their years of experience, they've noticed a gap in those soft skills that sometimes aren't taught in the general education classroom. Beyond academics, they see a need for teens to learn about everything from health (how to refill prescriptions), safety (auto basics, managing a rideshare), financial literacy (how do checks work), civics (registering to vote), employment, relationships, etiquette, and more!

Brigid and Leslie cover those life skills that will make Adulting less stressful for teens, especially those about to leave home for college or employment.
