In this episode Pastor Rory continues the study of 1 Corinthians. This book of the Bible is a letter from Paul to a church in the booming metropolis of Corinth.

As we study chapter 1 verses 18 to 31, we are reminded that if we are truly following Christ, then we need to follow in his footsteps and not elevate ourselves but humble ourselves.

In Matthew 23:12, Jesus said, “For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”

The book of 1 Corinthians is a letter written from Paul to a church in Corinth. The church in Corinth was not perfect, however, Paul believed that it had everything it needed to become a healthy church.
No Church in today's world will be perfect either. Churches are made up of imperfect people. Paul encouraged the church in Corinth, and we can also be encouraged today to grow closer to God in faith and obedience.

Season 7, Episode 1

This is the last episode in the special series recorded at Beartooth Christian Camp's family camp.

This final session covers Hebrews 12:7-13 in which we learn that if we are true children of God, then will receive discipline from God our Father.

To introduce the lesson, Pastor Rory's wife Jen summarizes part of the story, "Hinds Feet for High Places, " by Hannah Hubbard. The main character in this story is called Much Afraid and is a member of the Fearing family. As she travels to the high places with the Good Shepherd and her companions Sorrow and Suffering, she is transformed and given a new name, a new perspective and a mission.

Are you in a right relationship with God? Do you know that when this day of judgement comes, when your body is resurrected and you stand before the King, can you say, I have placed my faith in your son Jesus? Do you have that confidence?
