  • Abiding in Christ through works
    2026/04/07

Jesus tells us to abide in Him as we live our life. What does that look like? And how do our works relate to abiding in Christ?

There are works and then there are works.

True or False: I do good things so I’m going to heaven.

This topic today is from a sermon entitled “Living Faith = Living Works.” After listening to the sermon, Bethany and Carol are discussing their takeaways in this episode.

Hear about James and Paul and their teaching on works. Hear about our position in Christ verses our practice in Christ. Listen to real-life examples from Bethany and Carol, and scripture story examples, of abiding in Christ through faith.

Discussions on the gift of Salvation, faith, repentance, and living works. We’re diving into good stuff today!

Can we ever be ‘good enough’ like Jesus? No way! But that’s where we repent of our sins (when we mess up), and he forgives us. It’s truly a condition of our heart.

Ask yourself: How am I living out my faith in Christ (Abiding in Christ)?

    Scripture references:

    James 2:14-26 (Our works)

    Matthew 7:7-8

    James 1:2-4

Hebrews 11 (Hall of Fame of the Faithful)

Matthew 7:21 (The will of my Father)

    John 6:40
