  • Episode 2.12 Love Perseveres
    2023/04/25

Notice the same last name? Well, that’s because we’re family. Kendra is my sister-in-law and I’m so glad

that she agreed to have this conversation with me on the podcast.

Her and my brother in law have a beautiful testimony of how love persevered in their marriage. It’s not

the love that they have for each other, even though that is evident, it was the love of God that

persevered for them as individuals…..that is what has sustained them in their marriage.

  • Episode 2.11 Love Always Trusts
    2023/03/21

I was really glad that I got the opportunity to sit down with Chris and talk through “Love Always Trusts”.

It amazes me…..throughout this podcast season God has been talking to me. I thought I was doing this

for my listener but maybe God’s purpose was for me to learn more about what Love Is.

Through this conversation with Chris, I realized some areas in my own life where I am struggling with

trust. A lot of issues that we contend with are trust issues. How do we learn to trust God? By developing

a deeper relationship with him. By abiding with him.

  • Episode 2.10 Love Rejoices When Truth Wins Out
    2023/03/08

After a lunch with her and her husband, I knew that she would be a great person to have this

conversation with. Megan is very open in this conversation and shares a really difficult time in her life

and how the love expressed by her boyfriend (at the time but now her husband) helped her receive the

truth of God’s love for her. I love how she talks about not taking matters into her own hands and

skipping the line of life. She chose life and is glad that she did.

    2023/02/23

We will experience offense. We will battle with the nagging feeling of injustice. There’s no way around

it. But the Word of God tells us how to handle it and then move on from it. We do not have to stay

    there.

  • Episode 2.8 Love Is Humble
    2023/02/11

For so long I have had a misconception about Humility. My opinion of humility has not been a favorable

one. I don’t like the idea of being perceived as weak and vulnerable. What I’m learning = humility is

actually great strength….but only when I draw upon the model of Jesus Christ. When I look at his

example of humility, I am compelled to humble myself before him and allow him to show me how to

    walk this thing out. #Jesusisthemodelofhumility

  • Episode 2.7 Love Is Not Prideful
    2023/01/26

He was reluctant to tackle this subject with me. Pride is a pretty heavy topic and neither of us feels like

we’ve got this mastered. But I’m thankful that my son, Jaymison Parker, joined me for this conversation.

Pride is so deceptive. Pride doesn’t always feel like pride and that’s the deception.

  • Episode 2.5 The Gift of Giving and Receiving - a special Christmas episode
    2022/12/15

    Pause button pushed!

We are pausing from our "Love is" series for a special Christmas episode. We could not allow Christmas to just rush by without celebrating the gift of giving and receiving. That’s right. Both giving and receiving are gifts.

In this episode I’ve asked my friend, Melissa Porterfield, to join me and talk about a very special quilt that has bound us together. Yep. A quilt.

The quilt was a gift for both Melissa and myself. After commissioning her to make this quilt for me in 2017, we were finally able to make the transfer of ownership this year (2022). And it was a beautiful transfer. As she embraced the process of obedience in crafting the quilt, I was able to embrace the receiving of the love wrapped up in every stitch.

Join us today as we discuss the gift of giving and receiving.
