    Tyler Hodgson got his start in the mortgage industry almost by accident. He went in to get a mortgage and was denied, but he left with an accounting job instead.

    Tyler is a United States Marine Corps veteran and has an accounting degree from University of North Texas.

    After working as the accountant for the mortgage company, he was able to purchase his first house and started his real estate investing career. Tyler eventually got his mortgage license and went all in in the mortgage company. He decided to start his own mortgage company, NXT Mortgage, after closing 12 transactions.
