We’re back in 1 Peter this Sunday! Peter is still telling us about how our thinking (about the gift of our salvation) impacts our behavior. To close out 2024, we’re going to focus on the joy of being in God’s Word. The gift of Scripture gives us a beautiful picture of who God is, which is why being in the Word matters so much to us at RCC. This Sunday, we’ll talk about the joy of seeing God for who He is in Scripture and set a hope for 2025, to meditate on His Word even more.

For our final week of our Christmas Series, The Soul Felt Its Worth, we’re listening to Simeon, a man in the Jewish temple who longed for the Savior to come (Luke 2:25-35). God not only fulfilled His promise of sending our Savior but gave Simeon a chance to meet Him right after He was born. Simeon’s response to this experience gives us something everyone should realize about Jesus. What is that?

For week two of our Christmas Series, The Soul Felt Its Worth, we’ll hear from Zechariah, John the Baptist’s father. As part of God’s way of revealing what was to come, He took away Zechariah’s ability to speak. How much more glorious were his words when the joy from the depth of his soul could be heard? Join us as we look at where we put our hope, how we look at others, and how we approach God, all experienced through the song of Zechariah.
