  • 07 The Lord High and Lifted Up
    2025/01/26
This is message 7 in the Isaiah series. Isaiah 6:1-10 Isaiah’s vision of the Lord high and lifted up reveals God’s unmatched holiness, providing a clear view of Himself, His people, and His purposes. The clearer Isaiah saw the Lord, the clearer he saw himself as he truly was—unworthy and in need of cleansing. This clarity also revealed the work God had for him, leading to his surrender and willingness to serve: “Here am I. Send me!” A vision of God’s holiness brings conviction, aligns lives with His will, and equips His people for His work with a renewed understanding of their dependence on Him. We are listening to the heart of God as we listen to the heart of this prophet, Hosea. In the calamity that came upon God's people Israel, we must not miss the broken heart of God. We know that our God is a God of compassion. The same Saviour we see in tears, weeping over Jerusalem in the New Testament, is the same God that we read of in the ninth chapter of Hosea.

Do you realize what you are raising when you forget God in your home? As we forget God in our homes, we are raising a generation a that will transgress God's Word and say that the Bible is not for us. We are raising a generation that will become a nation of idolaters. We are raising a generation that will be religious but will develop their own false religion. We are raising a generation that God will judge because their Maker has been forgotten.

  • 06 El Hakkadosh, The Holy God- The God Who Sets the Standards for Living
    2025/01/19
This is message 06 in the Isaiah series. Isaiah 5:1-30 God, the Holy One, sets the standard for living, yet His people failed to produce the fruit He desired despite His perfect care and provision. Through the image of a vineyard, God reveals His disappointment with Israel and Judah, who, instead of righteousness and justice, yielded rebellion, pride, and sin. Their failure to live according to His holiness brought judgment, as God withdrew His protection and allowed the consequences of their disobedience to unfold. This passage reminds us that God’s holiness demands fruitfulness, and without Him, we cannot meet His perfect standard. I do not know how near our nation is to destruction, but I do believe that as a nation is to destruction, but I do believe that as a nation, we are unaware. I do not know how close some of God's people are to severe chastening as a result of their rebellion against God, but I know that many of them are very unaware of how near they are. God spoke through His prophet to the nation of Israel, "You are unaware."
