An impediment is a hinderance or obstruction in doing something. The issue with the man they brought to Jesus was that there was a barrier that prevented him from hearing and speaking plainly. While most of us don’t have a problem with physical hearing or speaking, we do face obstacles when it comes to listening the Word of God and expressing it plainly. It is why you were brought here, to the Lord in His Church, by those who care about you.

They were literally led by the Spirit of God to bring you to Jesus, and you now do the same for others. For even today, Jesus is present among us to remove our impediments to hearing His Word and to conveying it plainly to others. ----- Trinity Lutheran Church, School and Child Care have been "Making Known the Love of Christ" in Sheboygan, Wisconsin and throughout the world since 1853 as a congregation gathering around God's Word and Sacraments to receive forgiveness and life everlasting.
