    A hugely successful name in the industry, a Stanford/John Hopkins/NIH-trained physician, Peter founded Early Medical which is a medical practice that applies the principles of Medicine 3.0 to patients with the objective of lengthening their lifespan in unison with improving their health.

  • Tom Platz: A Life of Innovation and Inspiration in Fitness

    Dorian’s first guest is professional actor and bodybuilder Tom Platz.

    Known worldwide as Golden Eagle or The Quadfather, Tom is considered the uncrowned Mr. Olympia 1981.

    In 1965, Tom was just 10 years old when he began to train, his parents having bought him bodybuilding guru Joe Weider's guide to training along with a full set of equipment.

    One of the most infamous bodybuilders of the 1970s and 1980s, Platz appeared on the Mr. Olympia stage multiple times, competing against some of the greats such as ‘The Austrian Oak’, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Chris Dickerson.

    Many will recognize Tom for his massive and shredded legs, which are still big even in his 60s.

    Despite never taking home a first-place title, Platz gave bodybuilding his all and many argue that he should have achieved better placings throughout his career.

    1986 Mr. Olympia – IFBB, 11th

    1985 Mr. Olympia – IFBB, 7th

    1984 Mr. Olympia – IFBB, 9th

    1982 Mr. Olympia – IFBB, 6th

    1981 Mr. Olympia – IFBB, 3rd

    1980 World Pro Championships – IFBB, Mr. Universe

    Tom is very well known for his extremely intensive training, where he would push himself hard and often to failure, much like Mike Mentzer and his Heavy Duty methods.

    He stated that he never wanted to leave the gym knowing he could have done more, and when you think you are finished you actually have about 5 more reps in you.

    He is still heavily involved in the fitness industry, passing on his knowledge and training methods to younger generations.
