Showing up through the Holidays

  • サマリー

  • Who do you want to show up as this holiday season? Do you struggle to show up as her? Maybe you make it miserable for yourself and your family attempting perfection and maybe, just maybe you make it worse with a drink or other substance 🫣😬

GUUUURL, I was there for sooo many years. You are definitely not alone ♥️ By the grace of God, I dropped the substance but still struggle with my attitude and tendencies towards perfectionism. Difference is now I can immediately recognize it and change

Have you ever thought about coming up with a game plan? Thinking and praying ahead of time about where you’re at and who you want to be. What are you going to do when things don’t go your way. Having a plan helps you to not turn to that vise that turns you into a person you don’t want to be. In this week’s episode on Meet Me at The Well, we will talk about all things related to showing up as your best, SOBER self throughout this holiday season!!

We kept it simple at home this year. Our kids are teenagers and are not into decorating the house like they used to be. That is totally okay and the last thing I want is forced participation. As I sat here and prayed before decorating, a word came to me that brought me to the light of who I want to show up as. “Keep your home homey, homie!” I want our home to be welcoming and comfortable. I want it to be peaceful and inviting. That not only comes from me but all who live here. If mom is at peace, chances are the rest of the family is at peace 🫶

    Keep in mind ⬇️

🎄 Fun things don’t need to be stressful!! Decorating, baking, shopping and giving to others should not be stressful. If it doesn’t bring you JOY, dont do it!

🎄There are no rules to traditions and they also do not need to be perfect and exact from year to year. Allow wiggle room for life to happen and your family to change. The important thing is that you are together. That’s all!
