  • Smoky Mountain Re-Watch-Along Project #79: Juicy Johnny
    2024/10/31

***Order 40 Years Of Pay-Per-View: Book 1: 1985-1990 by Arya Witner on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited***

Today on the Smoky Mountain Re-Watch-Along Project, Arya and Trae discuss Tracy Smothers doing a commercial for a local car company, but he can't remember the name of the road and so Primetime Brian Lee shows up and kicks his ass. Plus, Tracy then wrestles a man by the name of Juicy Johnny, which leads to this week’s moment that will get Arya and Trae canceled one day. Dirty White Boy defends the TV Title against Steve Armstrong and Bullet Bob Armstrong has a match with Jim Cornette to talk about. All that plus the MONSTER MASH BATTLE ROYAL and a discussion about WWE ECW, amazingly awful WWE theme songs from 2007, comparing Tracy Smothers to British Bulldog, Super Junior Tag League, Mike Adamle, The New Breed, Papa Johns vs Dominos, Trae wonders what Hillary Clinton is like in bed and the Authors of Pain. A fun show as always!

  • Episode #137: Phenomenally Amazing
    2024/10/30

Today on Something Else, it’s Wednesday, so it’s Total Nonstop Arya! Arya and Cyndi are looking at the October 30, 2002 episode of NWA: TNA. Today, TNA has their second good show in a row as today AJ Styles defends the X-Division Title against Amazing Red in a phenomenal main event. Quite possibly the best one-on-one match in TNA history up to this point. Plus Curt Hennig is still obsessed with Diamond Dallas Page, a man, who again, is not in the company, America’s Most Wanted is finally America’s Most Wanted, Scott Hall challenges R-Truth for the NWA World Title and a #1 Contender’s Tournament starts! Don Harris is named the referee of the tournament and then promptly fired, Miss TNA Bruce has a not bad match and Jerry Lynn has another great match with Sonny Siaki. Another fun show as always!

  • Episode #136: Body Scissor Me
    2024/10/29

Today on Something Else, Arya and Trae dive head-first into October 29, 1983! On Mid South, Magnum TA loses the North American Title twice. First he lost it on a house show to Nikolai Volkoff, but then his title win was retroactively reversed and the title reverted back to Butch Reed. Reed, however, has to defend the title against Junkyard Dog with Dusty Rhodes as referee. Volkoff is so upset that he now brings a giant bag of wheat to the ring with him. On World Class, we have the funniest moment in the show’s history as Michael Hayes and Kamala are a team and Kamala doesn’t understand what being on a tag team is. Then The Masked Avenger, who looks, acts, walks and wrestles like Chris Adams is unmasked as…GASP! Chris Adams! Then in the main event, Kevin Von Erich puts Terry Gordy in a five minute bodyscissors and it’s the greatest thing ever. Plus they discuss the Adam Cole-MJF feud, recency bias, Arya reads from her book, WrestleMania IV, Prime Time Wrestling, talking segments vs wrestling segments, Diamond Dallas Page vs Buff Bagwell, Bill Mercer (who is still alive) covering the JFK assassination, TNA Bound For Glory 2024, the episode of Raw in 2009 with Iron Sheik & Nikolai Volkoff vs Mike Rotunda & Barry Windham and JBL. A fun show as always.

    2024/10/24

***Pre-Order 40 Years Of Pay-Per-View: Book 1: 1985-1990 by Arya Witner on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited***

Today on the Smoky Mountain Re-Watch-Along Project, Arya and Trae discuss one of the worst SMW shows ever. The show goes alright for the first 35 minutes, but then it fell off a cliff when Tim Horner came out and the reason it went wrong had nothing to do with Horner. “Smoky Mountain Champion Tracy Smothers is on Down & Dirty With Dutch” was promoted and every part of that sentence is wrong. First of all, Brian Lee won the title and secondly the segment gets edited off the show. Dirty White Boy defends the TV Title and Bullet Bob threatens death upon Jim Cornette. Plus they discuss Konosuke Takeshita vs Mike Bailey and Josh Alexander, Maple Leaf Wrestling, Bailey vs Will Ospreay, TNA Bound For Glory, comparing the New Age Outlaws to Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Night Of Champions 2014, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff going to TNA, Vince Russo & Ed Ferrara, Nancy Grace, Chris Benoit being demoted from the Four Horsemen to Raw, Ospreay vs Takeshita vs Ricochet, Benoit vs Triple H vs Shawn Michaels and Triple H burying half of WWE.

    2024/10/23

***Pre-Order 40 Years Of Pay-Per-View: Book 1: 1985-1990 by Arya Witner on Amazon and Kindle Unlimited***

It's Wednesday, so it's Total Nonstop Arya and Arya & Cyndi review NWA: TNA from October 23, 2002, with a show that was at least a million times better than last week's show. Syxx-Pac defends the X-Division Title against AJ Styles moments after he makes out with April. You'll never guess what Brian Lawler does in response. Jerry Lynn faces Sonny Siaki in what may be Siaki's best match ever. Plus, Jeff Jarrett, Curt Hennig, BG James, Ron Killings and Scott Hall are all wrestling each other, Hennig is on a lot of drugs, Hall is on a lot of drugs, Hennig calls Diamond Dallas Page a total mark for some reason, and we have a 5-way X-Division elimination match to determine the next X-Division #1 Contender. All that and so much more. A fun show as always.

  • Episode #134: We Need To Talk About David
    2024/10/22

Today on Something Else, Arya and Trae dive head-first into October 22, 1983! On Mid South, we have a mixed match featuring the mini wrestlers. Plus, new North American Champion Magnum TA defends against King Kong Bundy, Junkyard Dog takes on Max The Missing Link and more fallout from Butch Reed & Jim Neidhart winning the tag team titles. Remember the last time Harley was on the show defending the NWA Title and David Von Erich cost his brother the title? Well, David can’t let anyone have the damn belt. On top of that, they discuss Dusty Rhodes’ original babyface turn, Kris Statlander’s babyface turn, Private Party, Bad Luck Fale, House Of Torture, comedy in wrestling, Joe Koff, Jim Ross killing Jim Crockett Promotions, Rikishi’s response to Vince Russo ripping Jey Uso for being emotional about winning the Intercontinental title, Jim Cornette pissing on Russo’s grave and Eddie Gilbert almost being like Hitler. A fun show as always!
