What does the Law of God have to do with the Love of God? The two are often seen as being in opposition to one another. We assume that law leads to legalism (which is bad), and love leads to relationship (which is good). But the Bible creates no such opposition. In the concluding verses of Romans 10, the Apostle Paul helps us see that the Christian's evangelistic motivation and effort must be fueled by belief in the evangelistic heart of God. While Romans 9 taught us that God is sovereign over salvation, Romans 10 rounds this this out by reminding us that God desires all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.
