Produced by Pineapple Audio Production. *In 2020 to 2021, almost a million fewer women in England were screened for breast cancer and Breast Cancer Now estimated that as of May 2022, almost 8,000 people in England were living with undiagnosed breast cancer largely because of screening disruption. The latest NHS England Cancer Waiting Times 31-day data (for August 2023) indicate that there are now an estimated 5,962 missing breast cancer diagnoses which are not in the system due to the impact of COVID.
