  • THE CARL ARRINGTON ARCHIVE Episode 7 features an excerpt of Carl's original interviews with GILDA RADNER in New York City, March 1976.  This excerpt comes from interviews conducted for a major profile of Gilda for the the Sunday “Rotogravure" Magazine of the Detroit Free Press, which was her hometown’s largest daily newspaper. The article also included interviews with legendary SNL Producer Lorne Michaels and fellow cast member Lorraine Newman.  Saturday Night Live was just starting out when Carl interviewed the legendary comedienne. It was only the 2nd season and it their conversations took place in Studio 8-H in the NBC building. Gilda was happy to talk about working with the Not Ready For Prime Time Players, favorite hosts, and her comedic influences like Lucille Ball and Gracie Allen she watched on television growing up in Detroit, Michigan.
