  • Sharon Cortez or "Shawi ", is the founder of the Forest School PH. Shawi's purpose is to help people recognize their strengths and make the most out of the gifts they're blessed with. Her life purpose cam about due to her own struggles of finding her own calling in life. Being in the family business for years, she realized that this is not what she saw herself doing for her lifetime. She felt like a round peg in a square hole. Unfit. This dissatiscation brough her to discover 3 things she loves - nature, education, and children. That's how she discovered forest school. To transition to her calling, she trained under a UK-based forest school training provider, and is now a certified Level 3 Forest school Leader. Being the founder of Forest School Philippines, she is passionate about helping families and educators raise balanced and brilliant kids through nature and play. As an auntie to 3 of her sister's children, she practices forest school by regularly taking them out in nature to play. It gives her joy to see the kids growing in a way that they can think for themselves, speak their mind, and keep on getting up whenever they make a mistake.
