Last week, we took a peek into John Mark! To get a view of the writer of the Gospel of Mark and to understand why our study of the disciplines of Silence, Solitude, and Rest rests in Mark.

Join us tonight, and let's continue our discussion of Mark and how the Lord uses him to paint a beautiful picture of the HUMANITY OF CHRIST for us to follow our lives after.

Mark is often known as the Gospel writer who is on the fast track, but this, too, has a purpose in the big picture: to help us see ourselves and how we, too, may be on the fast track of life but should not allow LIFE to become our idol.

If time allows tonight, we will begin to dismantle the altar of BUSYNESS by understanding the value of Rest and how Jesus shows us the importance of cultivating this discipline in our walk as well!

Spiritual maturity is FOUNDATIONAL for our growth according to the Word of God. Spiritual Maturity begins the day we receive Christ as our Lord and Savior and begins the process of growing in the Lord to become spiritually mature.

It is how our fruit of the spirit develops and becomes ripe.

It is how our relationship with God and others improves.

It is how we grow in the areas of Discernment, Wisdom, Knowledge, & Understanding.

It is an ongoing process that will never end in this Life. So what does it look like? How do we tap into this level of grace & faith?

Wednesday, we began our study of three solid spiritual disciplines of Christ. SOLITTUDE, SILENCE, REST

All three work together, yet we are currently heavily vested in the Silence and solitude disciplines in our study because Christ demonstrated the value of these actions in our daily lives.

We often say we must pray, read, meditate on God's word, fast, serve, and grow in God, but we never really address what that means.

How would one achieve this? Well, any person who is growing in any capacity must first be disciplined. This means being trained, developed, and even tested sometimes, and our spiritual journey is no different.

If you want more Godly evidence in your life, embrace the discipline or disciplines that are coming your way. See challenges as Faith exercises, and use your faith muscle.

SO, WE LEARNED THAT EVERYONE HAS A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF DISCERNMENT (GIVEN BY THE HOLY SPIRIT )

SO THAT WE CAN FULLY TAP INTO THE COMMAND TO DETERMINE WHAT IS GOOD AND EVIL.

WE EVEN TALKED ABOUT, HOW DISCERNMENT INCREASES AS WE MATURE IN THE LORD.

"GOD WILL ALWAYS MAKE A WAY" &

Isaiah 58:11 says, "The Lord will guide you continually, and satisfy your needs in parched places, and make your bones strong; and you shall be like a watered garden, like a spring of water, whose waters never fail".

THIS VERSE IS OFTEN QUOTED, WITH THE FAITH THAT when WE AS BELIEVERS follow a path guided by God, WE will receive the resources and support NEEDED!
