On this week's episode of the Brave Little Homer Podcast, we wrap it all up. We talk the decision by the club to not invite back the hitting and catching staff. We also discuss what the biggest question marks are for the off season, including what happens at short stop, late rotation guys, the third outfielder, and more. We also transition to two weeks of Brave Birthdays and today in baseball history, with our new schedule: every other Monday until thanksgiving. A holiday break from then until the end of the year, then back to every other week in 2025 until pitchers and catchers report on February 12th!
Thank you all so much for an amazing first year of The Brave Little Homer Podcast. Can't wait to do it again in 2025.

On this week's episode of the Brave Little Homer Podcast, I ramble nervously as we prepare for the biggest day of the Braves' season: a double header verses the division rival Mets for all the marbles! The Braves need one more win to make it into the 2024 MLB post season, but they have to get past the Mets to do it. We talk about the week, and how proud I am of the squad of fighting tooth and nail to remain in the position to take one of the last wildcard slots. We also talk about the stellar performance by Max Fried, and hope it won't be his last in a Braves' uniform. I also love on fellow slow runner Marcel Ozuna and congratulate him on his stolen bag! We just continue to hold on to dear life around here! Go Braves!

On this week's episode of the Brave Little Homer Podcast... It's the last week of the season, we are doing nothing more than holding on for dear life and hoping for the best! We go through what went right and what went wrong last week, and talk about some things we hope are trending in the right direction. We talk about what needs to be done this week to ensure the Braves can overcome their 2 game deficit to take the last wild card spot, and honestly just hope it all works out. We also discuss the other teams still in the hunt for the playoffs and their schedule, and how that could impact the Braves' chances. Will we be celebrating next weekend? Or shouting into the void? Only time will tell!

The Atlanta Braves are still hanging on for dear life to that last NL Wildcard slot. With the dreams of another consecutive NL East title fading into the abyss, what do the Braves need to do to stay in the wildcard hunt? How can the Braves ensure they don't miss the playoffs in a year where many folks had them picked as World Series favorites? We talk about it! We also talk about Usher throwing out the first pitch, and other highlights of the past week.

On this week's episode of The Brave Little Homer podcast we talk about what went right and what went wrong this past week. Colorado and Toronto should have been lay-ups, instead they exposed some of the Braves issues, as our Atlanta Braves fall to tied for 2nd with the Mets in both the NL East (-7) and the last spot of the NL Wildcard race (-). Their 4 and 2 winning week wasn't enough, and that control on their own destiny is slipping. I again plead with the offense for some consistency and to make the most of their opportunities. What do the Braves need to do to get back into the playoffs, and to go on a possible run late into the 2024 postseason? The answer is simple: ANYTHING THEY CAN. We talk about it and more this week on The Brave Little Homer Podcast. Thanks for listening.

In these week's episode of the Brave Little Homer Podcast, we discuss the highlights and lowlights of last week, including the Braves' sweep over the Minnesota Twins, followed by the very close, but rough series verses our division rivals, the Philadelphia Phillies. We talk about where we stand in the NL East standings, and if it's time to let go of those dreams of taking another consecutive division title. We also point out our lack of margin for error in the wild card race. What's important going into the last month of season? What needs to go right for the Braves to get us back to the playoffs? We talk about it, and more!
