• Unshakeable Hope
    2024/10/03
Sometimes we just wonder, am I enough? Am I too broken, too flawed, or even too exhausted to keep going? Over the next few weeks we invite you to listen in as we discover, from a Jesus follower named Peter, how God is bigger than our story, greater than our circumstances, and stronger than our storms. This month, Gene Appel and Mike Breaux, pastors with Eastside Christian Church in Anaheim, California with multiple campuses in Southern California and beyond, will be walking us through the book of First Peter gleaning from its pages foundational concepts that will help us become UnShakeable. So, here’s Gene to help us shore up our Spiritual foundations with a blueprint for UnShakeable Hope! To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/326/29

  • Abby-Normal
    2024/09/26
Through-out the month of September our messages have centered on how, in all of our lives sometimes, life’s struggles are very real! Our speaker this week follows up on that series with a reminder that dealing with life’s struggles for the long term, requires living a life that does not follow the norm. Today’s speaker, now retired, Tim Harlow, was the lead minister of Parkview Christian Church, located in the Chicago, IL area. In today’s message Tim challenges the concept of 'normalcy,' using his own unique style of humor and personal examples to illustrate how societal norms might not lead to long-term fulfillment. In fact, Tim implores us to be "Abby-Normal" by prioritizing values over immediate desires. So, not sure how the term Abby-Normal plays out? Here’s Tim with the low down on how Abby-Normal, the narrow road, and the Bible’s account of the lives of brothers, Jacob and Esau, can help us live for the long haul To support this ministry financially, visit: https://www.oneplace.com/donate/326/29

You might remember a sarcastic phrase from social media a few years back; The Struggle is Real. That phrase more or less poked fun at problems or struggles that were somewhat trivial compared to the big picture of life. The truth is, though, that all of us do face real struggles in life. Ben Cachiaras, the lead minister with Mountain Christian Church, and their 4 campuses located just outside of Baltimore, Maryland is our teacher, this month. Ben is unpacking the reality of life’s struggles and how turning to THE Shepherd can make all the difference in the world. So, most of us are somewhat familiar with the 23rd Psalm. But in today’s message Ben is going to challenge our perspectives. The statement I shall not want can mean many things to many people, but try this on for size, the writer of the 23rd Psalm meant it as a statement of faith. Curious for the explanation? here’s Ben. • Stronger in the Lord
    2024/08/22
Okay if you tell someone Be Strong that statement has implications. You are in essence saying to that person they have a say in whether or not they choose to remain in a state of weakness or strength. The condition demands a decision. It fits with what our speaker this month has been contending; that strength is both a grace and a choice. Our teacher this month is Rick Atchley and the series is entitled Stronger. Rick Atchley is the lead minister with The Hills Church in Fort Worth Texas with multiple campuses in the Dallas, Fort Worth area and beyond. In today’s message; the Bible says our real fight in this world is a spiritual battle. Rick today unpacks how being strong or being empowered made possible when we put the blame where it belongs, when we put on our strong suit, and when we put Jesus name on everyone and everything. • Grace is Stronger
    2024/08/15
Here is a bold statement: All the bad in this world we have to deal with is not from God, it is the result of our sin, bringing down the perfect world God created for us. In today’s message, our speaker Rick Atchley contends that most of the struggles that weaken us are simply the fallout of living in a marred creation. In fact, Rick says since weakness is a consequence of darkness, it should never be met with passive meekness ! Our speaker this month is Rick Atchley. Rick is the lead pastor with The Hills Church with multiple campuses in the Fort Worth, Texas area and beyond. This month’s series is entitled Strong and we’re unpacking how Strength is both a grace and a choice. It is a gift from God, and it is a pursuit of those who live in fellowship with God. The Bible tells us to be strong in the Lord, and in this series we are exploring how we can receive the gift and make THE choice.
