Meet Hasana O’Neal, MHS, PA-C

Hasana O’Neal is a nationally certified Physician Assistant (PA) with over 20 years of cardiology experience. She holds a Master’s Degree in Health Science from Drexel University (formerly Hahnemann University) and has been practicing as a Cardiology/Cardiovascular PA since 2004.

Her expertise includes: ✅ Diabetes Management & Prevention ✅ General Cardiology ✅ Interventional Cardiology ✅ Vascular Medicine ✅ Lipid Management ✅ Cardio-Oncology (Onco-Cardiology)

Since 2017, Hasana has been providing care to inpatients and outpatients in the Department of Cardiology at MD Anderson Cancer Center (MDACC), specializing in cardiac care for oncology patients before and after cancer treatments.

Her passion for heart health started in middle school when she first learned how a drop of blood travels through the heart and vascular system. She has built strong patient-provider relationships by offering clear, concise, and patient-friendly explanations to help people better understand their heart and metabolic health.

Beyond her clinical work, Hasana lectures PA students at UTMB and is actively involved in community health initiatives. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling, running/walking, and cycling.
