  • LPGA Stars at the ANNIKA

    • The PGA Fall is still producing emotional and important wins as Rafael Campos claimed his first career victory, just days after becoming a father, at the Butterfield Championship in Bermuda.
    • The Race to Dubai came to a close as Rory McIlroy claimed his 3th consecutive DP World Tour season title, his 6th overall, as he ties Seve Ballesteros and looks to overtake Colin Montgomery's record 8 titles.
    • The LPGA's ANNIKA driven by Gainbridge included a lot of big names, like the GOAT Annika herself, Caitlin Clark at the ProAm, and more. Alex got a chance to cover the event remotely and asked questions of Brittany Lincicome, rookie Rachel Kuehn, and World #1 and winner of the event, Nelly Korda.
    • One of the big highlights of the weekend was the return to the ring for Mike Tyson as he faced off against Jake Paul. But the hype outpaced the fight as it was a disappointment in the ring, and on the Netflix stream.
    • In Tuned In, Michael shares an update to his flooded car situation, and Alex uncovers a Quinnipiac connection to a new hit TV show, and highlights the fastest moving Christmas songs in the Top 100.
    • In Pop Politics, Alex wonders what's the best way to ask for and give gifts for Christmas, while Michael is shocked at a new 4-year long cruise to "escape the Trump Presidency."
    • Inside the NBA has been a staple on TNT's coverage for decades, and it all looked like it was coming to an end as the NBA ended its partnership with TNT Sports. But it looks like it will rise again to keep Ernie, Chuck, Kenny and the guys together.
    • Alex's Baby Bets rebounded in college football, continuing his winning season on small bets.
    • In the NFL, the Chiefs have finally fallen, while Alex's Patriots lose again, and even on a bye week Michael's Giants find new ways to lose.

  • The _Crete_King on Hitting Off Concrete
    2024/11/06
    • The PGA TOUR and LIV merger may finally be headed to some sort of conclusion, but is it really?
    • The PGA TOUR released big proposed changes for field sizes and the size of the TOUR membership, making Alex and Michael wonder what they are thinking and who they are really protecting.
    • The LPGA wrapped up their Asian Swing by giving away a toilet (no, really) after a 6 hold playoff in Japan. Plus, Nelly Korda gets what's hers and poses for Sports Illustrated.
    • At a press conference for the upcoming ANNIKA Driven tournament, Alex asked the GOAT about Caitlin Clark, and got a great answer about women's sports and what it means for Clark to be playing in the Pro-Am.
    • Alex's Marco Island trip is all wrapped up, and it included 36 holes of mini golf with his wife.
    • On the way back home, Alex got to thinking about what's worse on an airplane, having the seat in front of you fully reclined, or having the passenger next you have their light on all flight.
    • In Tuned In, Michael shares how embarrassing it must be for his puppy to now have a Cone of Shame, while Alex is excitedly ready for the Christmas music season.
    • This week's guest is _crete_king, aka Elijah Miller, known on TikTok and Instagram for hitting golf balls straight off the concrete with every club. Elijah shares what got him started in the content, how he came up with the name, and shares some tips for others who want to hit off the concrete too.
    • The football weekend was a quiet one, at least on the college front. But in the NFL, Alex and Michael can't find anything good for their favorite teams.

  • Brandi Milloy and Thanksgiving Leftovers
    2024/10/29
    • The ZOZO Championship had some big names that couldn't get the job done as a young Columbian notched his second PGA TOUR victory.
    • The is almost done with their Asian swing at the Maybank Championship, and another talented pro on a hot streak claimed her second win in three starts.
    • The DP World Tour had a playoff at the Genesis Championship in Korea, but the loser took the headlines with his hot temper and broken locker.
    • Alex is down in Marco Island for his bi-annual trip to the Florida Gulf Coast, where he plans on celebrating Halloween with pumpkins on the beach. But the political ads are just taking over now that he's watching TV in a competitive state.
    • In Tuned In, Michael is playing a new Legend of Zelda game where you actually play as Zelda(!), and Alex is excitedly watching a fellow Quinnipiac alumni and Olympian dance it out on Dancing with the Stars.
    • This week's guest returns for the fifth time to talk Thanksgiving, Christmas, and football Sundays. Lifestyle Blogger Brandi Milloy chats with Alex about all that, plus what she's thankful for and what it was like to visit Guatemala during a service trip.
    • College football had a quiet week (compared to last week), and the NFL produced a shocking result for Alex's Patriots.

    • The Shriners Children's Open in Las Vegas was headlined by 50+ MPH winds, wrecking havoc on the schedule and the balls on the green.
    • The LPGA is about to wrap up their Asian swing, but not before Hannah Green won for the third time this year.
    • The Champions Tour is starting their season-ending tournament series, and one journeyman who never secured his PGA TOUR card notched his first career victory at the best moment.
    • The DP World Tour's weekend event went to a record tying 9-hole playoff on Sunday, resulting in another Frenchman winning on the European circuit.
    • LIV Golf might be looking for a new CEO to replace Greg Norman, sparking speculation that the PIF and PGA might be closing in on a deal. Meanwhile, Bryson DeChambeau and Phil Mickelson couldn't break 50 in Bryson's YouTube series.

  • US Olympians Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss

    • The inaugural Black Desert Championship in Utah brought stunning views of the rocky landscape, low scores, and a new winner. Attention for Alex and Michael was also on past guest Dylan Wu who had to sleep on a birdie putt to make the cut mid-tournament.
    • The LPGA in full into their Asian swing as a Shanghai native took the win at the Buick LPGA Shanghai for her fourth LPGA victory.
    • Alex caught up with US Olympians Taryn Kloth and Kristen Nuss as they visited Austin for a APV Tour event. The Beach Volleyball duo chatted about what it was like to play under the Eiffel Tower, how they beat the odds to make the Olympics in Paris, and why they think the new APV Tour is a game changer.
    • In Tuned In, Alex is paying close attention to the upcoming Presidential election, while Michael is just keeping his head down for now.
    • College Hockey is back! The guys' alma mater returned to action and is looking good, and this also means the NHL is back and the NBA is close behind.

  • The Canadian Volleyball Duo that won Silver at the Paris Olympics
    2024/10/08
    • The Sanderson Farms Championship in Mississippi went to a playoff, and cost Alex on his pick to win the event. Now the PGA TOUR heads to Utah for a new event with one of the worst fields of the year.
    • The Korn Ferry and EPSON Tours crowned their season ending champions and sent 30 and 15 players, respectively, off to the top tiers, including past guests on the ladies side like Ana Belac, Lauren Stephenson, and Daniella Iacobelli.
    • Alex headed to Austin's HEB Center this weekend for the the AVP and beach volleyball, and before that was able to chat with the 2024 Paris Olympic Silver Medalists. Canadians Brandie Wilkerson and Melissa Humana-Paredes chat about what it was like to play under the Eiffel Tower, to win for Canada, and the new APV team series touring across the country.
    • While Alex was watching the volleyball, Michael was in Virginia with his in-laws, playing golf and breaking clubs. Literally.
    • In Tuned In, the guys are paying close attention to Hurricane Milton as it bears down on southwest Florida, an area Alex visits frequently.
    • College football was rattled this weekend as Vanderbilt shocked Alabama and the world, but Michael also wonders why Georgia remains at the #5 team in the nation.

  • Presidents Cup Recap and Texas Gaming for Charity
    2024/10/01
    • Michael shares an update on the devastation of Hurricane Helene to his Savannah area and the entire southeast. Help those effected by donating to the Red Cross, World Central Kitchen, or buy gift cards to local businesses.
    • The Presidents Cup in Montreal was a golden moment for Keagan Bradley, who after being left off last year's Ryder Cup, clinched the winning point for Team USA. The guys break down the win, look at the International's chances to actually get a close Sunday final, and Michael asks Alex is Keagan Bradley is a Hall of Famer.
    • The LPGA's Walmart NW Arkansas Championship presented by P&G Sunday finish included low rounds of 60 and 61, and an electric two hole playoff.
    • Alex was fully entrenched in the Austin East Side Mini Open again this weekend, where he judged the bar crawl mini golf holes for the second year. Check out his videos on Instagram. Next Alex heads to the HEB Center for some Beach Volleyball (in Austin, TX!) where some Paris Olympians will volley for a win in the AVP League.
    • In Tuned In, Michael is watching the new season of British Bake Off, which now has an American competitor! Meanwhile, Alex is engrossed in the new Alex Hernandez mini-series.
    • This week's guest is Bryan Evans, owner of Texas Two-Step Gaming, a gambling-like establishment outside of Austin, TX that gives back to the community. Bryan shares how he went from the military to owning the new gaming venue, how the laws allow these Vegas-style games to be played in Texas, and why its so important to give back to the local community.
    • The WNBA Playoffs roll on, now without Caitlin Clark. The guys are jumping on the Connecticut Sun bandwagon and hope to see the trophy brought to New England.
