  • February’s quest to get to Notre Dame football
    2025/02/25
Joshua, Jude, and Brendan are finally back... kind of. After an extended break due to illness and, well, a bunch of nothingness when it comes to Notre Dame football — the trio made their way to the pod machine. No show notes this week. If we had to make this journey a success without a single note in front of us... so should you. It’s good for the soul. Please RATE and REVIEW! • How accurate were our 2024 Notre Dame predictions?
    2025/02/03
Joshua, Jude, and Brendan are back on the trail of the pod after a short postseason break to take a look at a number of things involving Notre Dame Football. In this episode: Hello! Happy Groundhog Day. Don’t get caught in an evil time loop created by satan... maybe. What’s up with this new scheduling proposal for Notre Dame and the ACC via ESPN? Do we really want to see more of the Irish against the likes of the Clemson Tigers, Florida State Seminoles, and Miami Hurricanes? Stanford nonsense. Our thoughts on the possibility of play review being done by the NCAA, and robot refs. The hiring of Chris Ash as the new defensive coordinator and how we should analyze the hire... which is pretty flippant. Reviewing all of our preseason prop bets for the 2024 season. How wrong we all were about a great many things (insert Palpatine laugh). REVIEWS! And plenty more weaved in and out of the show. Please RATE and REVIEW! • It’s Sugared Oranges and a Berth in the National Championship for Notre Dame
    2025/01/10
Joshua, Jude, and Brendan excitedly hit record on the pod machine shortly after Notre Dame’s Orange Bowl win over the Penn State Nittany Lions. No bulletpoints are needed as this was a different kind of podcast — just like the Orange Bowl win was a different kind for Notre Dame. Marcus Freeman, somehow, got this team to come out fired up in the second half after what was mostly a brutal first half of play. The Irish did things which we normally don’t see — both good and bad. Riley Leonard, Christian Gray, Jerimiyah Love (Jerry Love for the real ones), Jaden Greathouse, Mitch Jeter, and several handfuls of players were magnificent with the win. The boys are pretty excited and while this is mostly a celebration pod, we go over a bunch of different situations that shaped the final result of this game. Give the pod a listen. • Notre Dame might as well bring home the Orange Bowl trophy
    2025/01/06
Joshua, Jude, and Brendan are opening up the pod machine for a record 14th time this season as they are eagerly ready to preview the college football playoff semifinals between the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Penn State Nittany Lions in the Orange Bowl. In this episode: HELLO! GMC basketball and the online trolling which makes it spectacular. Red Bull connoisseurs and if size matters. The different storylines surrounding this game and the narratives that they serve. Marcus Freeman is absolutely incredible and we drool over his awesomeness for a bit. James Franklin is NOT Marcus Freeman. Can the Irish bring home a Sugar Bowl and an Orange Bowl trophy in a matter of one week? Like... doesn’t that just blow your mind and make you laugh about the failed stewards since Lou Holtz? How good is Penn State’s defense? Is Drew Allar overrated? How might Tyler Warren figure into the gameplan? Injuries and other things. The different scenarios of the semifinals — which includes what might happen in the Cotton Bowl between the Texas Longhorns and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Game picks. REVIEWS! And plenty more weaved in and out of the show. Please RATE and REVIEW! All reviews left on Apple Podcasts will be read on the next Earned 5-Star Podcast. Learn more about your ad choices. • Notre Dame did the thing they haven’t done in a long time
    2025/01/03
Joshua, Jude, and Brendan took a couple of hours to chill out... but then kicked open a giant chest of pod magic to talk about Notre Dame’s massive Sugar Bowl win over the Georgia Bulldogs to advance in the college football playoff. In this episode: HELLO! Giving props to Mitch Jeter first because he deserves it. Massive win for the Irish and the football program. Riley Leonard maxed out his full cheese potential. The scoring blitz to bookend the halves. Donovan Hinish is going to Donovan Hinish. Adon Shuler was pretty dope. Marcus Freeman outcoached Kirby Smart. Dumb officials did dumb official things. Making some notes about the broadcast and some weird comments. Marcus Freeman has the biggest balls. Al Golden is a prince. The depth of this team to keep doing what it’s doing. Next up... the Penn State Nittany Lions in the semifinals at the Orange Bowl. And plenty more weaved in and out of the show. Please RATE and REVIEW!
