  • Endometriosis and Empowerment: Molly Sellers' Story of Health Advocacy and Healing
    2024/09/18

    Send us a text

In this episode, I'm joined by my good friend and fellow nutritional therapy practitioner, Molly Sellers. We’ve shared quite the journey together—both professionally and personally—and today, Molly is here to share her inspiring story. As a women’s health advocate and endometriosis warrior, Molly’s experiences have shaped her approach to helping other women navigate their health journeys.

You’ll hear about how Molly and I connected, how we worked together through her endometriosis struggles, and the importance of having the right support system when managing your health. Plus, we dive into the ups and downs that are part of the healing journey and why it’s essential to listen to your body.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

-Molly’s personal journey: How her own health struggles with endometriosis led her to become a nutritional therapy practitioner dedicated to helping women.

-Our story: How Molly and I met, and why working together helped her find clarity and support, even as a professional in the field.

-The importance of finding the right doctor: Why it's crucial to feel cared for and empowered when seeking medical advice.

-Advocating for yourself: How to trust your instincts and listen to your body—because no one knows it better than you.

-Navigating health ups and downs: Molly shares her personal experiences and the reality that healing is never linear. Patience and persistence are key.

-Creating a new normal: It's not about achieving "normal"; it’s about discovering what’s best for your body and creating balance.

-Letting go of control: Why trying to control every aspect of your health may actually be holding you back, and how releasing that control can lead to deeper healing.

-Self-care and joy: How prioritizing fun and joy in your life is just as important as nutrition and exercise when it comes to overall health.

Your health journey is personal, and it’s not just about food or exercise—it’s all-encompassing. Be proactive and make changes now, before your health forces you to. Advocate for yourself because you know your body best. And most importantly, make time for joy and fun—it’s OK to enjoy life and let go of perfection.

  • Endometriosis and Thyroid Problems
    2024/09/04

    Send us a text

In today’s episode, we’re diving deep into the crucial connection between thyroid health and endometriosis. Did you know that those with endometriosis are six times more likely to have an underactive thyroid? And if thyroid issues are present, it often leads to greater pelvic pain. Understanding and supporting your thyroid health is essential for managing endometriosis symptoms, as both are interconnected symptoms of a larger issue within your body.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

-What the thyroid does: A breakdown of what your thyroid is, what it actually does, and its significant impact on your hormones and overall health.

-Underactive thyroid symptoms: How to spot the signs and what they might mean for your overall health.

-Essential thyroid tests: What essential markers to test for a comprehensive view of your thyroid health, and why a typical thyroid check might not give you the full picture.

-Supporting thyroid function: Why it’s important to identify the root cause of thyroid dysfunction and how to support your thyroid with the right foods and nutrients.

-Liver and gut health connection: How supporting your liver and gut health is key to optimal thyroid function, and how to do it.

-The gluten-thyroid link: The connection between gluten and thyroid health, and why going gluten-free might be worth considering.

Thyroid health is a complex topic, but these foundational tips will help you take the first steps toward better thyroid support and, in turn, better management of endometriosis. Consider working with a functional practitioner who can guide you in navigating both thyroid and endometriosis symptoms. We’re here to help you feel and live your best life.
