What does real humility look like in the life of a Christian man, especially when he has experienced success, influence, leadership, or recognition?

Pete Alwinson and Jayson Quiñones continue their conversation with Dr. David Uth, Senior Pastor of First Orlando, about servant leadership, letting go of the past, and continuing to pursue what God has for you in every season of life.

David shares practical ways he has learned to practice humility, including entering a room without needing to be the most important person, listening to the stories of others, celebrating other people's victories, and learning to lead without needing recognition. The conversation also explores the temptation for Christian leaders to build their own brands rather than point people toward Jesus.

The discussion then turns to Paul's words in Philippians 3 and the Greek word dioko, the call to press on. Whether your past is filled with failures or accomplishments, you cannot live there. God still has work for you to do. David shares how surviving a serious health crisis changed his perspective and why he deliberately rides his bicycle past the place where he once collapsed as a reminder of God's grace.

For men who wonder whether their best years are behind them, this conversation offers a powerful reminder: you are not out of the fight. Your position may change, your abilities may change, and your season may change, but God is still at work. Press on. Live your legacy today.

What makes a church a place where people truly want to belong?

In this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, Pete Alwinson and Jayson Quiñones sit down with Pastor David Uth of First Orlando to talk about the lessons he has learned through nearly 50 years of pastoral ministry. David shares how First Orlando became a church that increasingly reflects the diversity of its city, why love matters more than programs or personalities, and how humility shapes healthy Christian leadership.

The conversation also turns toward men and the church. David explains why men need challenge, purpose, brotherhood, respect, and meaningful relationships with other men. He shares practical wisdom for creating environments where men can grow without feeling embarrassed, exposed, or pressured.

David also speaks candidly about pride, celebrity culture in the church, shared leadership, dying to self, and the lesson that transformed his ministry early in his pastoral career: before you can truly lead people, they need to know that you love them.

This conversation is filled with practical wisdom for pastors, ministry leaders, husbands, fathers, and any man who wants to lead with greater humility, courage, and love.

  • Anger and the Christian Man

Anger is one of the most common struggles in the lives of men, but anger itself is not always sinful. The real question is what controls your anger and how you express it.

In this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, Pete Alwinson and Jayson Quiñones discuss the difference between righteous anger and sinful reactions. They explore how anger can grow from hurt, disappointment, frustration, fear, family patterns, and the desire to control other people. They also explain how anger can look different depending on a man’s temperament, appearing through yelling, violence, bitterness, withdrawal, passive aggression, or manipulation.

The conversation challenges men to recognize that uncontrolled anger is not strength. It is often a sign of weakness, immaturity, and unresolved pain. Strong men are not men who never feel anger. They are men whose strength and emotions are under the control of the Holy Spirit.

Pete and Jayson also discuss what it means to be angry without sinning, how unresolved anger can give ground to the enemy, and why Christian men need honesty, repentance, emotional maturity, and trusted brothers who can help them process what is happening inside.

Anger does not have to define you. By the grace of God, you can face what is driving you, grow in maturity, and become a man whose strength is marked by patience, wisdom, courage, and self control.

Depression can leave a man feeling stuck, isolated, and convinced that nothing will change. In this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, Pete and Zach have an honest Christian conversation about depression, its many possible causes, and why mental health struggles do not change a man’s identity as a deeply beloved, redeemed son of God.

They explore biological, medical, habitual, relational, circumstantial, mental, and spiritual contributors to depression. They also discuss the two things every hurting man needs to remember: hope and help. From professional care and healthy daily habits to trusted brothers, prayer, Scripture, and the Psalms, Pete and Zach offer practical places to begin.

The conversation then turns to negativity and cynicism. How do our words shape our minds? How can gratitude interrupt destructive thought patterns? What does Philippians 4 teach us to dwell on? This episode challenges men to face what is happening inside, seek support, and allow the truth of the gospel to renew their minds.

In this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, Zach and Pete begin a conversation inspired by Craig Groeschel’s book Heal Your Hurting Mind. They examine common myths about Christianity and mental health, including the belief that Christians should never struggle, that faith alone should immediately fix every emotional problem, or that God does not care about our mental wellbeing.

The conversation then turns to anxiety. Zach and Pete discuss why anxiety can sometimes serve as an important signal, how constant news and social media can overwhelm our minds, and why so many men feel pressure to hide what they are experiencing.

They also explore practical and biblical responses to anxiety, including prayer, honest relationships, professional counseling, physical activity, and bringing our fears before God. Philippians 4 reminds us that anxiety does not have to control us and that the peace of God can guard our hearts and minds in Christ.

Men do not have to face their struggles alone. God cares about the whole person, including the mind, body, emotions, and soul.

  • The Future of Manhood in 2026

In this episode of The FORGE Truth Podcast, Pete and Zach continue their conversation on the state of young men in America and the shifting landscape of manhood in 2026.

They discuss why men need more than information, inspiration, or online content. Men need brotherhood, models, purpose, discipline, and a deeper identity rooted in Christ. Pete and Zach explore the rise of faith and fitness movements, the return of spiritual conversation in popular culture, the need for church community to become a true tribe, and the coming challenge of AI as it reshapes work, identity, and meaning.

This conversation also gets practical for churches and men’s ministries. If men are starving for models of biblical masculinity, then the answer is not simply more content. The answer is building lives through relationships, mentorship, truth, worship, and a gospel strong enough to carry the weight of real life.

Men matter. Identity matters. Brotherhood matters. And the church must disciple men for the world they are actually living in.
