    Episode 4: Part 4- RECEIVE

We began with “Realize”…understanding that in love, God is trying to get our attention… Today let’s close this series by learning to RECEIVE from God.

Coram Deo is a Latin phrase translated "in the presence of God." To live in the presence of God is to know God’s voice — to walk so closely with Him that we can literally hear Him.

Over the past three weeks, we have been considering Moses and his relationship with God. We have looked at realizing that Jesus is constantly seeking to get our attention and learning to recognize the Lord’s voice. Today let’s close this series by learning to receive from God.

    Episode 3: Part 3- RECOGNIZE

Let’s begin with “Realize”…that in love, God is trying to get your attention…

So, if God is speaking continuously, directly and personally to us, how do we turn up the volume? In seeking to answer this question, we have been considering Moses and his relationship with God. Last week we considered the extraordinary truth that Jesus is constantly seeking to get our attention. Upon that amazing realization, in an array of voices that compete for our attention and our souls, how do we recognize the Lord’s voice?

  • The Faros: Coram Deo 2 - REALIZE
    2021/03/05

Join Andrew Williams as he looks at "Coram Deo" - Living in the Presence of God

    Episode 2: Part 2- REALIZE

Coram Deo is a Latin phrase translated "in the presence of God." To live in the presence of God is to know God’s voice — to walk so closely with Him that we can literally hear Him.

Let’s begin with “Realize”that in love, God is trying to get your attention…

Our hearing God begins with the realization that, in love, He is trying to get our attention. And, just as He did with Moses, He will take the ordinary in our lives and imbue it with something extraordinary, something abnormal within the normal, something exceptional within the ordinary.

The Bible would seek to assure us that His voice is love, mercy, grace, power, peace, healing, wisdom and joy. How can we tune our hearts to hear the wonderful voice of our loving Father?

Does the idea of knowing God’s voice sound like a presumptuous idea? A dangerous idea? Perhaps even a foolish idea? But what if the human system cannot properly function without such a close walk with God? What if it’s just not possible to undertake human existence without hearing God? Dallas Willard wrote, “The fine texture as well as the grand movements of life show our need to hear God."
