  • Bournemouth stun City, Arsenal lose more ground vs Newcastle, Forest now third, and Spurs victorious over Villa
    2024/11/04
It's been a crazy weekend at the top of the Premier League, as Leaders Manchester City's 32 match unbeaten run was halted spectacularly by Bournemouth. Mike and Dave look into what makes Andoni Iraola's team so good to watch this season. Arsenal failed to capitalise on City's defeat, losing themselves to Newcastle 1-0 in a physical encounter. What's happening to Mikel Arteta's team? Nottingham Forest climbed to third to continue their fine run after 10 games. A 3-1 win over West Ham showcased their finishing ability as they won 3 games in a row for the first time since 1999. And Tottenham beat top 4 rivals Aston Villa 4-1 in a game that sprung to life late on. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

This week's biggest talking points: Arsenal lose ground at the top, with a William Saliba red card leading to a 2-0 loss to Bournemouth. Do they have a discipline problem?? A Dejan Kulusevski-inspired Tottenham beat sorry West Ham 4-1. As Spurs approach their best, can West Ham stop getting any worse? • Brighton stun Spurs, Brentford pile more misery on Wolves, West Ham finally win at home, and Villa's big week
    2024/10/06
Mike chats with Myles and Dave in the week where there clubs played each other - and it was a drab 0-0! Thankfully there were plenty of great games to discuss, starting at the AMEX Stadium as Brighton came from 2-0 to beat Tottenham 3-2. The result leave Fabian Hurzeler's high-fliers in 6th. Spurs meanwhile have ;lost 3 in 7 games. Brentford added more misery to bottom of the league Wolves in a 5-3 win. How will the result change the perspective for both teams going into the International break? Wolves finally won at home in a 4-1 result over Ipswich, which eases the pressure on Julen Lopetegui. And about that drab draw at Villa Park! Where does it leave Erik ten Hag's future? And after a historic week, how does Villa fan Myles feel about Villa's season up to now? • Four goals for Palmer, Ten Hag on the brink, Arsenal leave it late, Liverpool go top
    2024/09/29
Mike chats candidly about the key games this weekend, starting at Stamford Bridge with Cole Palmer's sensational 4 goals in the first half of a 4-2 win over Brighton. It was a crazy game which Palmer clearly enjoyed - what a player he's becoming! He also looks at Erik ten Hag's future again as Manchester United were soundly beaten 3-0 at home by Tottenham. It really feels like the end this time - will the hierarchy bite the bullet and sack the Dutchman? Spurs on the other hand played brilliantly. There's also a chance to discuss Arsenal's fortunate win over Leicester, Aston Villa's unfortunate draw away at Ipswich, and Liverpool stealing top spot in the Premier League Learn more about your ad choices. • City break 10-man Arsenal resistance, Smith-Rowe flying for Fulham, and Tielemans tames Wolves
    2024/09/23
Mike is joined by Myles and Arsenal fan Isaac to break down Manchester City 2-2 Arsenal, a game full of action and flashpoints. Somehow we manage to keep Isaac calm despite the controversy of a first-half red card for Leandro Trossard, which we'll debate alongside the other big talking point surrounding Riccardo Calafiori's goal. As Fulham record an impressive 3-1 win over Newcastle, we ask how good they are as a team, and the role of Emile Smith-Rowe in their solid start to the season. There was also a 3-1 win for Aston Villa - fresh from Champions' League heroics - over neighbours Wolves, and a decent Chelsea performance over struggling West Ham. Learn more about your ad choices. Starting with an historic win for Nottingham Forest against Liverpool, thanks to a superb Callum Hudson-Odoi winner. The win propels Forest to 7th, but can they kick on? Aston Villa came back from 2-0 down to beat Everton 3-2. A Jhon Duran rocket sealed the comeback, which was yet another Everton collapse. Manchester United found some breathing space with a 3-0 win over struggling Southampton, a much-improved performance.
