On today’s episode, Miranda Peterson Harton is an RYT500 yoga teacher, hiker, mom, wife, and entrepreneur based in Western North Carolina. After quitting corporate life in 2015, she took a sabbatical during which did her first 200 hours of yoga teacher training in India, hiked around the world (including the Himalayas, Andes, and Alps), and studied meditation with Buddhist monks in Thailand and Myanmar. She founded Namaste in Nature in 2017, hosting yoga hikes and retreats that combine yoga, hiking, and meditation with incredible mountains, waterfalls, and sunsets. She completed her advanced 300 hours of yoga training at Asheville Yoga Center, where she continues teaching. Miranda shares more free yoga and hiking content on her social media and website.

On today’s episode We have the godfather of Entrepreneurship, Les Dennard. After achieving a nursing degree and practicing in healthcare for 10 yrs, Les saw the medical field change, which made me no longer want to pursue this career or work as an employee. This was a turning point in his life, leading him to become  a business owner of four different businesses with 77 employees working with him. Les realized that being self-employed was tough. 

Self employment involved  sacrificing time with family, and when a health crisis hit early in life that put him out of work for two years, Les realized that  if he was not present to run these businesses, they would fail.  During this pivotal time in Les’s  life,  he began to understand the value of money, which in turn,  led him to develop principles that would later become financial stewardship of money courses that sustained him through this  financial, physical, and emotional crisis. 

Les transitioned from a business owner to a full time entrepreneur  in multi- level  marketing and gained the responsibility that comes with the comprehension of leadership. Les based my business dealings and foundation on the  belief that  ''leaders must have an insatiable courage that enables them to resist those who would otherwise discourage them. there is no chance; no destiny; no fate that can circumvent hinder or control the firm resolve of a determined soul.''

This was the foundation of his program KNIGHTS OF DESTINY , a self development leadership program for entrepreneurs. This work ultimately led Les to sharing my gift for building relationships and  teaching leadership principles to youth.
