    🏆 Our Goal 🏆

At The Historical Fencer Magazine, our goal is to share our knowledge and thoughts on historical fencing to get you started in picking up a sword. Or, if you're already doing Historical European Martial Arts (HEMA), to deepen your knowledge.

I remember starting with HEMA and historical fencing over two decades ago and having tonnes of questions. Now there is so much more information and I want to help you with the things that I didn't know back then.

    👨 About Me 👨

My name's Anders Linnard and I've been doing HEMA or Historical fencing for over 20 years. I have won national and international championships and trained some of the best fencers on the planet. I've also been involved in shaping how competitions work and written the rules that are the foundation for most of the historical fencing competitions today. I also run St Mark, a company that produces fencing equipment.
