Jonah was living in rebellion against God and did everything hje could to get away from him. He found himself in the worse circumstances; thrown overboard, tossed about by waves, sank to the bottom of the sea and swallowed by a great fish.
Then it happened. He had a divine awakening!

Unfortunately, there are many families with loved ones that are incarcerated for the crime they committed. Not only is it painful for the one in jail but the family also suffers emotional distress. This interview introduces a ministry called, "Hope For Hurting Parents." though it is designed for parents with incarcerated children, it can apply to incarcerated spouses and parents as well.
This ministry is conducted at New Hope Christian Church in Swansea, MA but it is also a national ministry with a wide-ranging effect on other maladies as well.

It is not uncommon to find ourselves in situations that are beyond our control. But that's okay because God is always in Control.
In the story of Jonah, the sailors are in a storm that is threatening their lives. They finally realize that God is bigger and if they do what He says the storm will cease, and it did because they did.
Let's apply this principle to our own lives and follow the leading of God when things get beyond our ability to handle them.

Let's face it; We all do things wrong at times but what we do after that is so important. Jonah finally realized this in order to cam the storm that they were in on the sea. He admitted that it was because of him that the storm was raging. God sent it to get him back to his calling.
This is the beginning of the "way back."

We can resist the will of God for our lives but that will never end well. God will use people, circumstances and events to turn us to the way He wants us to go. He used a gret storm ands the sailors to turn Jonah. And He will do the same with you.

We can do two things with our failures. We can deny them or we can admit them. which one do you think has a better outcome? We find Jonah finally fessing up to his sin and why the great storm came upon them.
But in our own lives we must remember that all things are open and laid bare before the Lord. He sees all. So it is always in our best interest to be honest about our sins. He does give grace to the humble but He resists the proud who refuses to be honest.

It is inevitable that storms will come into our lives. There are two ways to handle storms, a right way and a wrong way. In this message, you will learn what to look for in your own life in order to get through the storm. Jonah tried to run from the storm but it only followed him. No one can rtun from the storms of life but you can be delivered through them.

There is a reason for his rebellion which may even be considered noble. God said "Go" but Jonah said "No."
