If there is one non-debatable in life, it is the importance of being honest with ourselves and about ourselves. This also has to do with being honest before God. If you think about it, He knows all anyway. Nothing is hidden from Him.

Let' face it. The storms of life will come. And a big one came in the life of Jonah. The interesting thing is, God sent it. Sometimes God uses extreme measures to get our attention or to change our direction. Has this ever happened to you?

The hidden life is God working on you when no one else can see, maybe not even you. Depth means deep thinking. Jesus talked about rocky shallow soil where seed was sown but it had no roots because of the bedrock underneath. These are the emotional, superficial believers. They ave no depth of soil. No deep thinking.

But tyhe good soil was prepared soil and produced abundanant fruit. Listen carefully and see where you stand in God's garden.

There must be a balance in one's Christian walk. It is not all blessing and prosperity and it is not all suffering and trials. But it is a balance between the two.

Unfortunately, dying to self does not come easy, it is not natural. It is supernatural. Perhaps this message is just the thing to get you out of a slump and living life again.
