Our investigation reveals that yes the jalapeno was modified to be unspicy. In Reality the Grande Jalapeno Pepper has much less spice than even the poblano which is a very mild pepper so why is there so much fuss over this TAM II Jalapeno which is still way more spicy. The grandes are great for grilling chiles toreados with bacon and cream cheeze on the bbq and they won't burn your mouth and still taste spicy.
