  • TJTC Ep 23 with Bethel Afework - "Creating Spaces for the Community"
    2020/11/08

Bethel is a spoken word artist, mad scientist, and powerful community builder and activist in the city of Calgary, Alberta. In this episode we dive into the theme of creating spaces for representation, especially for young people, and for the development of the arts

This episode was recorded in November 2019. A lot has changed in a year. It has never been SO important to stay connected and move towards the creation and nurturance of community beyond the apparent limitations that we see around us.

Bethel's projects have evolved during this year, she can tell you more herself. Get in touch. This woman does not let the shifting world stop her - she shifts with it like a marvelous creative soul does in the infiniteness of our reality.

  • TJTC Ep 22 with Zhe the Free - "Saying Yes, Trusting and Flowing"
    2020/10/18

"Sometimes things take a long time to come to fruition", said Zoe at the beginning of this episode, recorded on November 12th 2019, the day of releasing her single BOUNCE. Who would have thought that almost a year after she would be releasing her first EP "The Love EP" !!! And synchronistically, her episode on TJTC is now coming out as well <3!!

We talk about being a strong and impactful presence while also being gentle and loving to generate change around us. We share what makes our hearts bounce, what creativity does for us, and also we share some experiences around being a woman in environments that challenge us.

Creativity just guides the way, and all we have to do is follow. Trust, play, flow, and say yes. Just say yes.

It's so blessed to have this conversation recorded, Zoe is honestly a huge friend to me, a woman that has made a lasting impact in my life by being real and supportive in key moments of life. I am deeply grateful for her presence in my world.

Grab your hot chocolate, chai tea, or your preferred dark roast and get cozy with us. I'm so excited you are here. See you on the other side!

  • TJTC Ep 20 - "The World Needs Your Creativity"
    2020/10/04

The comeback episode! After almost 9 months of experiencing 2020 by travelling around, writing random songs, despairing, laughing, practicing kundalini yoga, meditating, feeling the end of the world coming, reading books and enjoying the sun, I have returned to you all with a -hopefully you agree- fresh perspective.

In this episode I speak my heart out about the importance of being creative in times of world major shifts springing from the need for change.

I also invite you all to stay tuned for a future Zoom meeting so we get to know each other and share our stories and where we are at in our journeys through creativity and through life as a whole.

I forgot to mention: I have several 2019 interviews which are due to share, so I will upload them gradually through the next months. They will be interweaved with new episodes. It will be a weird back and forth time travel.

Stay tuned! Lots of ideas coming up in the next months. I may be sharing some of my secret creations with you ;).

  • The Journey to Creativity Ep 19 with MC GoodMedicine - "Guidance, Healing & Giving"
    2020/01/28

This episode is such a blissful trip. GoodMedicine's spiritual essence connected deeply with my Pisces Moon soul. We were so "up there" during this conversation, and no - we did not blaze before recording. We were just really high on spiritual feelings, at awe with the beautiful perfection of life.

I enjoyed so much having Michael at the studio sharing deep wisdom that can only spring from a generously giving heart and a humbled soul. This man's Elder soul will surely inspire you with his reflective stories, imbued with indigenous wisdom.

Let us build a healing culture together.

  • The Journey to Creativity Ep 18 with Abbie Thurgood - "Moving Forward, Going Cosmic"
    2020/01/18

In this episode I welcome a powerful and soulful singer to share her wildly serendipitous journey. Her stories will touch your heart, as they did to me. You might be able to tell I'm actually a bit nervous. I kinda really admire this young woman, for how empowered she is, and how much kindness I can see in her eyes.

Abbie is the vocalist of Gone Cosmic, a Calgary based psychedelic rock band, who released their first album "Sideways in Time" on  April 2019. You can get their album on their Bandcamp site HERE

Follow Abbie and her fellows on their socials @abbiethurgood and @gonecosmic

I'm so happy the freezing cold is starting to fade... maybe? Regardless, get cozy. See you in space :)

  • The Journey to Creativity Ep 17 - "Authenticity + Acceptance"
    2020/01/13

In this solo episode, I share with you my struggles around being authentic. Feeling so much pressure from outside of us, we may use these external influences as an excuse to remain creatively blocked. Could that pressure, at its core, actually be buried deep inside our own minds?

The "external" criticism, opinion, pressure, control, manipulation, could in reality be simply ghosts from the past that still dwell in your own - present - mind. Recognition is step one. Acceptance is step two. Conscious positive alternatives is step three. Between the three we dance, infinitely.

Wrap up your two feet. Get cozy.

Want some coffee to warm up your hands?

  • The Journey to Creativity Ep 16 - "Our power to live creatively" with Christianne Olguin
    2019/12/21

I am so happy to bring this episode to you. Chris is a deeply inspiring woman, who has been experimenting with her creativity for more than a decade. She has so much knowledge and experience to share - my soul was blown away the moment we met, earlier this year.

Christianne is an artist on the canvas and on the human body, but she says that creativity is way more than that. She talks about creativity being the power we have to create our life experiences, improve and transform every single area of our lives.

We go on about exploring our subconscious minds, healing, and going through creative blocks.

I hope this conversation leaves you empowered and inspired.

Get warm n cozy... see you on the other side!
