  • Mom Friendship
    2023/04/19

We took a bit of a break.. because life. But now we're back! We've been thinking about this topic for a while and recently got a comment from a listener how they would love to hear our perspective on 'Mom Friendship'. This week we're talking about being the friend of a mom, being mom friends, and trying to be a friend AS a mom.

It's a tricky thing to navigate both as a mom and as a friend and the evolution of friendship and how to best show up for the people we care about. We have no answers but we do have opinions. Listen in!

    Key Takeaways:

    - Becoming a mom is going to change you as a friend

    - Your friendships are going to evolve, some will strengthen, others will dissolve (maybe)

    - Everything hurts at first but nothing lasts forever

    - Remind yourself that it's growing pains and things will regulate

    - Saying no doesn't make you a bad friend

  • Dear Postpartum Us...
    2023/03/14

This week we talk about our postpartum experiences thus far. P and I share our birth stories how M & B came to be, a few tips and tricks we've learned along the way and some loving things we wish we could have told ourselves in those early days. At whatever stage you're in when this episode finds you, take what you need and leave the rest.

    Key Takeaways:

    - You're doing everything right

    - You will sleep again

    - Call attention to the fact that your brain is operating on sleep deprivation and intense hormones, this won't be your brain forever (the fog DOES lift)

    - You don't have to sleep train

    - You don't have to do what your friends are doing, they'll still love you regardless

    - You are a great mom

  • What value do you place on your own joy?
    2023/03/07

Today we talk about JOY and what value we place on it in our daily lives. Joy can be a tricky thing because depending on how you define it for yourself it can either show up all day long in the most unexpected places or make you realize that perhaps you aren't as 'joy full' as you expected.

    Just the 'tip' advice:

    1. The friends your children choose will influence them in more ways than you can imagine. Make sure they find good friends in life.

    2. The days are long but the years are short.
