On this episode, we discuss the very few true crime facts of the triple homicide in the Clifton community of Spartanburg County, SC. This horrific crime occurred on January 9th of 1993. I was just a young reserve Deputy at the time but I remember the event. This will be a series of many episodes discussing unsolved homicides all across the Palmetto State and where they stand to this day. We discuss the few statistics of missing persons and unsolved homicides in South Carolina (my home state) and gear up to discuss the many cases, over the next few episodes, of each category within our state to include one of the most notorious serial killers in history. it will definitely be very interesting and entertaining.

We discuss a few stats on cold case homicides and some similarities between that and missing persons. We will also look at hoe society in general has become desensitized to violence and respect for human life.

In our season ending episode we discuss an issue that has been very common place in the cases we have been working. A missing persons questionable background or life mistakes are not a gauge to determine how much that investigation gets the proper attention and service. It is not our place, or anyone else's, to pass judgment on someone especially when they are a victim. We are getting so many stories from families who know and/or have heard their missing loved one and their mistakes and run-ins with Law Enforcement have been a gauge for the level(or lack thereof) of service and effort put into the investigation. Many families can barely get callbacks or information from investigators and this is unprofessional and paints a very bad light on those in Law Enforcement who work hard to do the right thing everyday and by every victim.

We discuss how bad the reporting system is for missing persons and how it varies from region, to state, to towns just like yours and mine. We also discuss making this issue and the Amber Alert more standardized across our nation and I put out a challenge to my listeners.

We discuss the problem of one of our State Legislators practicing Law privately and representing a subject in a high profile, double murder trial and how it raises questions for citizens, Law Enforcement and Circuit Solicitors Offices. How can this not be a 'Good Ole Boy' system issue along with Judges being appointed by these same legislators. Time for reform and change.
