  • 'Wasting a Sister's Money' & 'Switching Things Up'
    2024/09/20
First, the plaintiff says the defendant is her older brother, and he works on air conditioning systems. She says she hired him to fix her furnace and he made unnecessary repairs, so she wants her wasted money back. The defendant says he replaced the stuff his sister insisted on, and he can’t believe he’s being sued. Then, the plaintiff says she rented the defendant’s catering hall for a wedding reception. A month later, the defendant told her she was moving the party’s location because she was having problems with the city. The new location was a basement, so she asked for her deposit back. The defendant refused, so she’s suing. The defendant says she was ready to provide catering services, and the deposit is not refundable. • 'Fixing Nothing' & 'Taking Too Much Off the Top'
    2024/09/19
First, the plaintiff says she rented a duplex apartment from the defendants. She claims they ignored a damaged gutter, which allowed critters to get into the attic and keep her up all night. She claims they invented fake damages, and she’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendants say the plaintiff broke her lease, and they sent her a list of the damages. They deny owing her any money. Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to take in her daughter’s prom dress, but he cut it up and changed the whole style. The dress was ruined and she had to buy a new one, so she’s suing for a full refund. The defendant says he’s been sewing for 59 years and did exactly what the plaintiff’s daughter had asked for. • 'Causing a Family Fall Out' & 'The Sweetheart Swindler'
    2024/09/18
First, the plaintiff says the defendant is her sister, who gave the plaintiff one of her kidneys 10 years ago. No matter how selfless that was, the defendant owes the plaintiff money for babysitting, a loan, and her share of a hotel room, so she’s suing her. The defendant says her sister is being petty and cheap, and she denies owing anything. Then, the plaintiff says she met the defendant through an online dating app and they were together for a year and a half. She claims she loaned him money for his mortgage and then he ghosted her. She also found out he was seeing someone else, and she’s suing for what she’s owed. The defendant says the plaintiff told him the money was a gift and she only sued once he started seeing someone else. Don’t forget to rate and subscribe so you never miss an episode.
