    Body acceptance advocate Dr. Michelle Tubman is the founder of Wayza Health and the host of the popular podcast, Thrive Beyond Size.

    Her coaching programs are designed to liberate women from the dangerous diet culture that's dominated their lives since they were old enough to understand a world in which their weight determined their worth. A now-reformed chronic dieter who struggled with shame and low-self-esteem, Michelle set out to find the answers.

    She is certified in eating psychology, binge eating treatment, intuitive eating and life coaching. As a physician, she is triple board certified in obesity, lifestyle, and emergency medicine.

    On this episode we welcome back Kate Williams Stone, a health and life coach for women in perimenopause to teach us about this phenomenon which she calls “metabolic inflexibility”.

    While often blamed on weight, the truth is insulin resistance affects people of all sizes, and there’s lots that can be done to support good blood sugar and insulin balance with simple health supporting habits.

    Kate Williams Stone (she/her) is a non diet health and life coach who helps women in perimenopause build confidence around food and feel good in your body so that they can feel amazing without the diet culture BS.

    She uses the principles of Intuitive Eating coupled with hormone honoring health habits as a powerful way to support women through the challenges of perimenopause. Her signature framework includes: Mindful Eating, cyclical living, normalizing body changes with feminist non diet mindset coaching.

    Originally trained at the Health Coach Institute, she completed additional Intuitive Eating training with Evelyn Tribole (co-creator of Intuitive Eating) and Stephanie Dodier (Going Beyond the Food Method). She is also a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University from the prestigious Drama program (B.F.A).

    Welcome to this bonus episode of The Power in Motion Podcast.

    In this episode, I’m sharing a recent interview I did with Tami Stackelhouse on her podcast, The Fibromyalgia podcast.

    I discovered Tami and her work as I was looking for resources to support myself through my own recent diagnosis of fibromyalgia and I can honestly say her podcast has made a huge impact - I’ve learned so much about the condition and what I can do to feel better.

    So It was truly an honour when Tami asked me to come and speak on her podcast about my fibro journey so far and how my work and fitness routine has had to shift as a result.

    We also discuss diet culture, movement as self care, other ways we can measure health progress, besides the number on the scale, and how we can develop a more positive body image.
