  • This podcast exists to serve my tribe. It is for all small business owners in the hustle whether you're starting a business from scratch or looking for tips and best practices to stay in growth mode, retain employees and build a world-class leadership team who work cohesively in a thriving ecosystem known as your company culture, you should listen to the guests and leaders on this podcast.

When I started out in business in 2004, it was difficult to find resources I could relate to., even though I read over 800 books about business, entrepreneurship, marketing, management and other self-help topics, they seldom represented the plight of the small (micro) business owner. It is inspiring and entertaining to read about Apple, Starbucks, Walmart, Southwest Airlines and other great companies but I had to develop the skills to translate that information to my level and wallet size.

The Recode Podcast is named after his most recent book which bears the subtitle "8 mind hacks for the small business owner" and is his contribution to the SBO world.

Emmanuel Osuyah is an author, businessman, world travelers, international recording artist, and keynote speaker. Though his journey is filled with life altering experiences, he has maintained an outlook that fosters growth in all areas. He speaks 5 languages, owns 5 companies and is passionate about living through the creation of unique experiences by taking risk and pushing through adversity time and again.

This podcast is limited to 30 episodes as I have to get back to the business of passionately pursuing other interests I have in this human dimension.

Thanks for dropping in. If you hear something that helps you recode your entrepreneurial mindset then please implement and pass it on to another SBO.

  • Recode Podcast Ep #8 GRIT: Renewed and Repurposed with Kelly Gonyo
    2024/03/10

In this episode of The Recode Podcast, I explore many dimensions with my friend Kelly Gonyo; Founder and President of Blue Line Insurance Agency, Inc. Kelly is a business owner, leader and compassionate professional in the insurance industry. You’ll hear how she pushed through the challenges of a low college GPA to build a thriving business in the challenging, bustling and heavily regulated financial landscape that is New York State.

During this “Women’s History Month” I am honored to celebrate her success, and truly inspirational journey. You’ll hear how she renews and recharges her commitment to her team and our industry by spending time in nature and with family.

Kelly is a beacon of light that spotlights the remarkable difference that women make in the workplace, her parents played a significant role in the woman she has become today and she does not mince words in giving them the credit they deserve for the tough guardrails within which they raised her and siblings.

The conversation is boisterous, we laugh out loud, banter through substantive tools for success in life. “You must care for people, be respectful and be respected”...
conventional words of wisdom that are not so conventional these days.

    Thank You Kelly!

We tackle benefits of growing up in a third world country, religion, family, the current reflection of leadership and future expectation from both past and future generations and the giving of oneself beyond altruism.

Ebenezer reminds leaders to challenge even our deepest held beliefs. I know you will come away feeling challenged and inspired at the same time.
