DAILY READING
And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus. To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen Philippians 4:19-20

People of Athens! I see that in every way, you are very religious. For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you, ‘The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.’ Acts 17:22-26

QUESTION
What are your hands holding onto or your eyes gazing at that takes you away from living in relationship and trusting Jesus? Are you willing to let go and turn your eyes away from those things? Why or why not?

Daily Reading

Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him. Fear the Lord, you his holy people, for those who fear him lack nothing. The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing. Psalm 34:8-10

Is the source of your contentment found in comfort and convenience? Stoically enduring pain and struggle without complaining? Or is it something else?
