As a born-again (born from above) believer in Jesus Christ, you are the dwelling place of God on earth. That means then that you carry God's presence with you everywhere you go. However, it is ONE thing to say that, and it is another thing to live life aware and conscious of that reality. When you consistently rehearse your history with God you position yourself for victory AND give others permission to believe God for the impossible! One of the quickest ways to bring your mindset back into alignment is to simply remember. This week on the podcast we are discussing heavenly mindedness. "Don't be so heavenly minded that you're no earthly good" is a phrase that I have heard for years, and it is extremely unbiblical! Colossians 3:2 says, "Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth..." Our task as sons and daughters of God is to become MORE heavenly-minded... not less. This world is not in need of earthly-minded people, but Kingdom-minded people. When we set our minds on "things above" we position ourselves to understand the heart of the Father and draw from supernatural resource and supply. Heavenly-mindedness is NOT synonymous with being out of touch with reality or disconnected from the needs of the people. In fact, it is the opposite. The more you focus on God and heaven's agenda the more you become in tune with His heart and compassion for people. The best thing you can do for the world around you is to become MORE heavenly-minded... not less.

Jeremiah 51:20 says, "You are My battle-axe and weapons of war: for with you I will break the nation in pieces; with you I will destroy kingdoms." 

Did you know that when you keep your eyes on Jesus in the midst of the conflict you're going through, that you actually become a weapon, an instrument, in the hands of God that He uses to destroy the plans of the enemy on your behalf? Spiritual worship is not devil-focused; it is God-focused. Whenever you find yourself in conflict, under attack, or walking through perplexing circumstances, understand that you battle in NOT yours, but God's! When you're walking through conflict, praise Him ANYWAY. No matter what it looks like, praise Him ANYWAY.
