  • How to Be Wrong
    2024/05/15

This week I speak to something that I believe will spark thought, and that is How to be wrong because I perceive there is a natural aversion to being wrong and I believe that we shouldn't run from it but lean into it, so that we can grow.

I also gave my overall take on the Kendrick Lamar Vs Drake rap beef, a lot of people still wrong about that but let me know what you think about my take on the matter

  • Lost Confessions ft. Koko
    2024/05/06

This week is the last part of my 4 part lyrical breakdown series Toxic Tracks, featuring the lovely and multitalented artist and content creative Koko. We wrapped up the compilation with breaking down two classics from two R&B icons Usher's "Confessions Pt. 2" and Jazmine Sullivan's "Lost Ones". These songs had us deep in our bag of poor choices in relationships, how we can be selfish, and the ever so necessary need to tap into your intuition.

  • As We Lay, Lonely ft. Koko
    2024/04/29

This week we continue with the third installment of the lyrical breakdown series that I call Toxic Tracks. I have back as a guest the multitalented artist and content creator Koko to help me analyze these songs. The songs featured are what some people would call "oldies or dusties" Shirley Murdock's As we Lay & Bobby Womack's If You Think You're Lonely Now

These tracks make us touch on the previous generations' perception of infidelity, those post break up woes and so much more

  • Emo +Toxic ft. Koko
    2024/04/22

This week Koko and I continue on this journey to point out the level of toxicity within music.

The songs analyzed for this episode are; The Weeknd's 2011 hit from his House Balloons EP "The Knowing" and Rihanna's 2006 track " Unfaithful" from her album titled A Girl Like Me

These songs created so many rants about relationships, infidelity, and a 90s film of the same name of one of the tracks.

Its that season again to do another 4 part lyrical breakdown series, the theme for this year, is Toxic Tracks, an R&B subgenre that has been picking up more space throughout the industry, Koko is lending me her voice to do all 4 parts of this series

Part 1 focuses on two tracks from two different eras, Donnell Jones "Where I want to Be" & Brent Fiyaz "Wasting Time". Koko and I breakdown what makes these tracks so toxic but still enjoyable to so many of us. Tune in to all 4 parts

  • What About-ism
    2024/04/01

This week I give my takes on the strange phenomenon of black people, black men especially having this para-social relationship with wealthy black men who are brought up on various allegations, I speak to how we should react to these occurrences and speaking to the quiet part being said out loud, Diddy, Bill Cosby, R.Kelly, Russell Simmons, etc. do not need the protection of the black community because they weren't thinking about the black community when they caused harm.
