  • We start with a brief discussion of contracting as an individual vs working fulltime as an employee for a company, and advantages that can be had especially when one is young. This follows into the introduction to where nuclear is headed in Canada, the retubes taking place in Ontario, SMRs The growth of the workforce for both trades and professionals.

    This naturally raises the issues of Canadians retubing Canadian technology but then purchasing new technology for new builds from the USA which will naturally destroy what makes the Canadian industry unique and Canadian. This will result in a good deal of work shifting to the USA which is all being done here in Canada in about 50 years and how the decisions for this transformation are being made this decade at the government and corporate levels.

    We briefly touch upon how the growth in nuclear infrastructure has recession proof tendencies and many positive long-term effects which make it an excellent place for a career over the next 3 decades for those concerned with job security.

    We go into nuclear geopolitics and discuss why the west is so far behind, and the resurgence of the US as having seen a need to revive their long stagnant nuclear industry, whereas Russia and China have been growing, building, and researching which will make them surpass the USA as the leading countries for Nuclear acumen and knowledge if the US can't catch back up. We talk high level of nuclear in politics, advantage of support from the green parties of countries using the example of Finland and the importance of strong character and vision from political leaders to drive necessary change.

    We devolve our conversation into a brief talk on the new apple goggles coming out and how quickly technology moves and mans response to it.
