On this episode, we reveal our suprise guest that we have been hinting at for weeks as the owner and creator of Redemption joins us to talk about how the game got started and how it has progressed through the years.
There was plans to include some conversation with Jake reviewing recent spoilers and talk about our expectations for Nationals, but unfotunately the audio we recorded was substandard so we are not releasing that. I considered holding off on sharing the interview with Rob until I could frame a better complete episode around it, but didn't want to withhold it from you all.
Rob did reach out after we recorded to ask me to clarify a couple of things he touched on. Please see below from Rob:
Thank you for putting this together. I wish to clarify two things I said yesterday that may not be clearly understood.
First, I have no desire to misrepresent or be unfair to Angel Studios. They are doing many good things. My statement that the Chosen and Angel Studio have parted ways is based on this video by Dallas Jenkins:

In other words, the video presents Dallas Jenkin’s position. Angel Studios likely has a different perspective.
Second, I touched on Scattergories so briefly that listeners may get the idea that I created Scattergories. The creator of Scattergories is Gunther Degen. The company I was working for back in the late 80’s is Cactus Services, Inc. I was one of three people at Cactus. I was the junior member of the team (being only 24) when we licensed Scattergories to Milton Bradely (now part of Hasbro). I was Mr. Degen’s agent until 1999 when I left Cactus Services, Inc. to focus full time on Cactus Game Design.
In 2018 Cactus Services and Gunther Degen asked to come back as agent to represent Scattergories. I have been under contract with Cactus to do this since 2018.
As always, thanks for listening. If you are enjoying the podcast, please consider supporting our sponsors at Your Turn Games.
