  • I Paint My Mentor, Myself
    2023/05/17

DREAM: I am painting an image of myself for my mentor. I've been to many doors and there's one who tried to shoot me before. This time she comes to the door with her gun, but it only makes it popping sound, no bullet. She's in love with me. Glittery, puffy-black, gazing. I'm to paint an image of myself as an offering? I am to show my daughter, teach her that she has a gift. That this is her calling. Making this art. The old woman is at the door. She is waiting. There's a sense of danger as I make her wait. I paint around my eyes, close up, but maybe it's like I'm painting on Margot? I am drawing thick, drippy, black ink around the outline of my own image, face and bangs, but when I get close up to the eyes, it looks more like Margot's eyes. So erotically charged, the young woman had thought me a lover. I have one half of this painted self like a big golden butterfly nearly done. The art is coming in - then I'm with Margot, bringing her and her friend through the streets to show them, they can do this, this is their path.
